I decoded the diplomatic plate and it’s Uruguay.
Some coastal fortifications I hike by sometimes. This all metal one I believe is a pre WWII structure and is pretty cool. The inner plate retracts up into the dome when opened. From below I can see rounds bouncing off it due to the angle, it’s a pretty steep hill with multiple pillboxes below.

Oh that is a maze someone made out of stones from the hillside years ago. There are all kinds of little mementos and Buddhist offerings etc.. in the center. There was some kind of military facility there before but it’s all been removed except for a pillbox on the front of that cliff. I’m sure they flattened that whole area for their purposes, several hilltops and niches in the landscape are flat and some have a concrete slab. You can find big metal stakes around that I assume were for antennas. The maze is a nice place, it’s a good 30 min from the beach and not many people there.

Those prewar coastal forts are nuts. It was always neat seeing all the bunkers on oahu.
